We stand in the reformed tradition of the
Church of England; accepting the Scriptures as the supreme
authority in all matters of faith and conduct; and confessing the
Apostolic Faith in One God: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
We would want to highlight two things that are central to what we are:
First is the great commandment of Jesus - to love God with all that we are, and to love our neighbours as ourselves. When we gather as a church family we seek to express our love for God in praise, prayer, and obedient listening to his Word, the Bible; and to support one another as we live the Christian life day by day.
Second is the great commission Jesus gave the church - to go and make disciples of all nations. Every square inch of our nation is served by an Anglican parish church, and the duty and joy of that congregation is to proclaim to every new generation the good news of Jesus Christ. Our calling is to share that message with the people of our parish, and it is wonderful to see people respond to that message with repentance and faith.

We are a
founding member of the North West Partnership of Churches, reflecting our commitment to the
evangelical faith (which is the historic foundation of our Church
of England) and the desire to see Biblical Christianity thrive in
our region.
In March 2010 we are joining together with other local churches in a series of meetings with evangelist Rico Tice. This is a major initiative of churches across the UK, and here on the Wirral we are putting on "A Passion for Life: Wirral". See here for more information
