We know the Bible is amazing, when we read it God’s voice is heard, but we don’t always “get” what He is saying to us, today, because we can’t work out why He asked someone to write down those particular words for His people, then!! This modest instrument, recommended by lots of well-respected Bible teachers, helps us to read and understand the Bible by giving us comprehension and context questions to apply to what we read! You would think that the help this book gives is so obvious we wouldn’t need it, but you don’t need me to tell you why Dig Deeper sells well!

So, where to begin?” work together so that the aim of the book is reached: “We hope that parts of the Bible that previously have seemed like gobbledegook will begin to make some sense, and that bits that were clear already will become even more vivid and gripping.”
The anecdotes and self-effacing comments make this book really human, it avoids patronising the reader whilst taking nothing for granted (if you want an intellectual tome don’t but this book!). Even the Acknowledgements, which tell the story of how this book was road tested at a summer camp, encourage you that Nigel Beynon and Andrew Sach are “normal” Christians (with “normal’ shaped foreheads) and they just want to help! They know that when we really read what God said to His people, then, we will understand what He is saying to us, today; and we can set about doing what God has been telling us to do all along!
