Farmers Market
The Wirral Farmers Market has become one of the most
successful markets in the North West. It is held on
the second Saturday of every month in the Village
Hall. Although initially set up with support from
NFRAG, the market is now run by its own individual
committee. You can find out more on their own
website: http://wirralfarmersmarket.iccommunities.co.uk/
Events
In 2005 we held our first New Ferry Fun Day/Weekend
in New Ferry Park. This was so successful that we
were asked to turn this into an annual event. The
separate sub-group campaigns for funding, and
organises the event.
Despite the weather New Ferry's 3rd Fun Day on Sunday 15th July 2007 was a success. It was well attend by local residents, who enjoyed free entertainment, along with a variety of stalls providing goods or information and a fun fair.
NFRAG would particularly like to thank all the volunteers who worked so hard in the build up to and on the day of the event. We would also like to thank the bands, Spring Heel Jack, Catch 32, The Albany and Switch. The wonderful talents of Wirral Vocal Workshop and the Mega talented 'Danza Dance Troupe' and their teacher Emma Newton.
Most of the small local businesses also very generously got involved and gave to the raffle or tombola, helping to raise funds towards the event.
We would like to thank the businesses listed here:
New Ferry Tool Shop, Pearson's Butchers, J.C's Cafe (New Ferry Rd)

Friends of New Ferry Park and Open Spaces
We are currently setting up a new sub-group who will
co-ordinate action to seek funding for New Ferry
Park, Shorefields and Mayfields Open Spaces. This is
an exciting new way to get involved in improving your
local environment. We will soon be getting together
with English Nature and other representatives to sort
out who should tidy up the New Ferry Shoreline, which
is one of our most important assets. More
