Stick ‘n’ Step
Helping children with
cerebral palsy in the New Ferry
district
Stick ‘N’ Step is a parent led charitable group which raises funds to help children with Cerebral Palsy. They are based next to St John’s Church on Bebington Road, behind the Liberal Club. Children with the condition – which affects one child in every 400 – attend the centre every day where they receive specialist therapy (known as Conductive Education) to help them develop improved co-ordination. Although funds for the charity are not raised by street collectors, they do have their own charity shop which has opened in New Ferry, and we would urge that residents visit the shop and give them every support.
For parents of children with Cerebral Palsy who may benefit from the Conductive Education which is offered at the centre – or if you would like any further information – please contact either Barbara Poole (0151 645 1291) or Allison Howell (0151 641 9765) who will be happy to talk to you.
